There is a special power given to words that are spoken out loud. By standing up and speaking them to an audience, we are committing ourselves to them in a way that is difficult to retract. Think of the emotion of saying wedding vows, the excitement of a great and important speech or the whispered words of a confessional. The fact that we have said the words aloud, rather than simply read them to ourselves, is an important step of commitment. I like the idea of reading the bible out loud, not just in church but in a public space. I also like the idea that it is read not just by a vicar or official reader but by many different people in many different situations. The Bible Out Loud, started on October 22nd 2006,  is an idea that brings these thoughts together. The bible spoken aloud by many people in many situations. What I would like you to do: 1.
